Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Lucidpic's AI image and video generation services. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. Violations may result in immediate account termination without refund.
Age Restriction: This Service is strictly for users aged 18 and over. By using our Service, you confirm you are at least 18 years old.
2. Prohibited Content
You must not use our Service to create, upload, host, or share:
- NSFW content of any kind - All sexual or adult content is prohibited
- Any depiction of minors (real, synthetic, or "young-looking") - Including any context, sexualised or otherwise
- Non-consensual explicit deepfakes - Creating or sharing non-consensual sexually explicit deepfakes is a criminal offence under current UK law; we report such activity to law enforcement
- Biometric recognition - Any attempt to identify or verify a person using images or biometric templates
- Non-consensual intimate imagery - Including any form of image-based sexual abuse
- Content promoting self-harm - Including suicide, eating disorders, or dangerous challenges
- Illegal content - Terrorism, criminal instruction, or any content violating local laws
- Infringing content - Copyright violations, trademark infringement, publicity rights violations, or misuse of intellectual property
- Harassment or threats - Including doxxing, cyberbullying, intimidation, or defamatory content
- Hate speech - Content that discriminates based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics
- Misleading content - Impersonation, fraud, or intentionally deceptive material
- Malicious code - Viruses, malware, or content designed to harm systems
3. Specific Prohibitions
Likeness and Consent:
- Do not create images of real people without their explicit consent
- No celebrity pornographic or sexualised content under any circumstances
- Respect publicity and privacy rights in all jurisdictions
System Abuse:
- No attempts to bypass safety filters or content moderation
- No automated scraping of asset URLs or system resources
- No reverse engineering, benchmarking, or competitive analysis without written consent
- No attacks on the Service or attempts to gain unauthorized access
Legal Compliance:
- Comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction
- No violation of UK export controls or sanctions
- No use for biometric identification or facial recognition (prohibited entirely)
- No use for medical diagnosis or legal advice
- No creation of deepfakes for any deceptive or harmful purpose
4. Safety Measures
We implement multiple safety measures to prevent prohibited content:
- Automated content filters are enabled by default
- IWF hash-matching to detect known illegal content
- Prompt filtering and safety checks before generation
- Post-generation content scanning
- Manual review of reported content
Important: Disabling any available filter does not permit banned content. All prohibitions remain in effect regardless of filter settings.
5. Responsible AI Use Guidelines
When using our AI generation services:
- Only upload images you have the legal right to use
- Clearly identify AI-generated content when required by law or context
- Do not use outputs to deceive or mislead others
- Consider the ethical implications of your generated content
- Respect the dignity and rights of all individuals
- Use the Service for lawful and constructive purposes
6. Commercial Use
You receive a license to use generated content commercially, subject to:
- Compliance with all terms of this AUP and our Terms of Service
- Ensuring your use doesn't infringe third-party rights
- Accepting responsibility for how you use the content
- Understanding that similar content may be generated for other users
7. API and Developer Use
If you access our Service via API:
- Keep API keys confidential and secure
- Implement appropriate content moderation in your application
- Pass through our safety requirements to your end users
- Do not use our Service to compete with us
- Respect rate limits and fair usage policies
8. Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in:
- Warning or temporary suspension
- Permanent account termination
- Loss of access without refund
- Removal or blocking of content
- Report to law enforcement or regulatory authorities
- Legal action for damages
We cooperate with law enforcement and report suspected CSAM to the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) and appropriate authorities.
9. Reporting Violations
How to Report: If you encounter content that violates this policy:
- Use the Report Content feature in your account dashboard
- Email legal@lucidpic.com with:
- Asset URL or content identifier
- Timestamp of discovery
- Description of violation
- Any supporting evidence
We review reports promptly and take appropriate action. False reports may result in account penalties.
10. Appeals Process
If your account is suspended or content removed, you may appeal by:
- Emailing legal@lucidpic.com within 30 days
- Providing your account information and reason for appeal
- Including any relevant context or evidence
Appeals are reviewed by our compliance team. Decisions are final.
11. Updates to This Policy
We may update this AUP as needed to address new risks or legal requirements. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. Check the "Last updated" date above.
